A STAGNANT WEATHER PATTERN HAS BROUGHT POOR VENTILATION CONDITIONS TO THE KLAMATH BASIN. DUE TO THIS STAGNANT WEATHER PATTERN, THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN MEDFORD HAS ISSUED AIR STAGNATION ADVISORY. ...The AIR STAGNATION ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL Thursday.

 

The Air Quality Advisory from noon today Tuesday December 12, 2017 through noon tomorrow Wednesday December 13, 2017 is RED Health Alert

 

The RED Health Alert Advisory call means the following:

 

1.     Exemptions for woodstoves are Void today inside the Air Quality Zone.

 

2.     Only PELLET STOVES MAY BE USED WITHIN THE AQ ZONEas per Klamath County Ordinance # 406.150 (1)(A).

   

3.  OUTSIDE THE AQ ZONE: All Woodstove, Pellet Stoves and fireplaces may be used; however we encourage you to use an alternate source of heat.

 

4.   Outdoor or Open Burning is prohibited Countywide, as per Klamath County Ordinance # 406.100 (4)(A).

  1. I want to know if you guys plan on paying the electric bill for those of us that have to heat their homes with electricity because you want to continue with your red days? I think it is absolutely ridiculous that you give us red days for conditions that are not our doing. I have asthma and I can tell you this I would rather burn my wood stove than use the heater that costs me $400 a month because of you and your red days.
