QUALITY
The Air Quality outlook
for today Thursday August 4th, 2016, from 8:00 am until 8:00 am THURSDAY August
5th, 2016 is forecasted to be “Good to
Moderate””, air quality, however some people may be unusually sensitive to
particle pollution and may need to take precautions if the air quality reaches
moderate levels. between the hours of 5:00 pm to 10:00 pm today moderate levels of smoke are forecasted to
come into fort klamath and chiloquin areas from THE BYBEE CREEK WILDFIRE THAT
IS CURRENTLY BURNING AT CRATER LAKE NATIONAL PARK. Our forecasted mixing heights after 2:00 Am TOMORROW
MORNING are expected to drop down to low levels for approximately 7 hours. The
klamath basin is expexted to continue to get good air quality, however we will
be coming very close to reaching low moderate air quality levels due to some
smoke coming in from the crater lake fire, and other fires burning thoughout
the state and california.
Weather conditions
and smoke levels can vary dramatically during wildfires, not only from one day
to the next but on an hourly basis. Smoke may also impact one portion of a
community but not another.
