The Air Quality Advisory from noon today Thursday January 10, 2019 until noon tomorrow Friday January 11, 2019 is GREEN.

The green advisory means:                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                              

1. All woodstoves, pellet stoves and fireplaces may be used inside and outside the air quality zone. 
2. Use only seasoned dry wood.
3. Outdoor burning is not allowed in the air quality zone.  
4. Residential outdoor burning is allowed in the communities of Chiloquin, Sprague River, Beatty, Bly and Northern Klamath County. Please check with your local Fire District prior to burning. Burning within residential areas should be avoided, if the smoke impacts neighborhoods.

The air quality advisory from noon today Wednesday January 2, 2019 until noon tomorrow, Thursday January 3, 2019, is Red Health Alert

The red health alert advisory means:  

1. Only pellet stoves may be used inside the air quality zone. 
2. Exemptions are void today inside the air quality zone.
3. All Klamath County residents, inside and outside the air quality zone, are encouraged to use a non-wood burning source of heat.
4. Outdoor burning is prohibited countywide.
